Get your sheeping bag ready for Connemara

Connemara is possibly the most beautiful and unique landscape in Ireland, but....are there hidden dangers? Could you be mauled by an out of control sheep in the middle of the night? Or pecked to death by a magpie? Do you dare find out....

See the tour at our site:  http://trekr.io/tours/24-bear-grylls-sheeping-bag-trail-connemara.htm

"When the great survivor Bear Grylls got dropped in the middle the west of Ireland at least three miles from the nearest Eurospar or Centra hot food counter, he knew the value of the humble sheep in this treacherous environment. In these sheep, seen as a nuisance for years to the inhabitants of this dangerous land due to their disrespect for designated road crossings, Bear Grylls, or simply Bear, saw something different. He saw a path to survival, and fashioned one of these wondrous creatures - that had passed away from old age - into what he referred to as “a sheeping bag”. This kept his lower body warm and helped him survive until they had finished filming the scene and returned to his hotel.
With the above tale in mind, let us take a trip around Connemara, a strange and stoney landscape shaped by rustic fields, mountains, and stone walls, a paradise for mammals of the wooly variety. This trip will be through the mountainous North West of Connemara. But beware at all times of the dangers that loom. Domestic dogs, ferocious magpies and babbling streams make this a dangerous place to be. Be sure you are on the lookout and know where your nearest sheep is at all times..." [Full tour at Trekr.io]
